Compliance with standards and regulations is essential to guarantee the safety and efficiency of equipment in any type of vehicle as well as during logistics operations.
Key Standards and Certifications
European Standards EN 12195 Our lashing systems comply with the EN 12195 standard, Load Restraint on Road Vehicles - Safety, a reference in the regulation of freight transport. It is divided into 4 parts:
- EN 12195-1: Calculation and lashing forces
- EN 12195-2: Web lashings made from man-made fibers
- EN 12195-3: Lashing chains
- EN 12195-4: Lashing steel wire ropes
The first part (EN 12195-1) is mainly for transport professionals and provides guidelines on:
- Acceleration coefficients for each type of transport (road, rail, and sea) according to the direction to be restrained
- Lashing calculations to determine the lashing devices to use based on the load to be secured
- Friction coefficients: to be considered in lashing calculations depending on the surface used in the chosen vehicle.
The other three parts specify the requirements for manufacturers in terms of safety, verification, use, and certification.
Machine Directive 2006/42/EC Our dock equipment and lifting devices comply with the Machine Directive 2006/42/EC, ensuring the safety and reliability of our solutions.
