Ground protection mats are manufactured from recycled LDPE.
This material combines strength, flexibility, and durability, making it ideal for creating temporary access roads, protecting ground surfaces, and preventing vehicles and machinery from becoming bogged down. Made from recycled plastic waste, these mats offer a sustainable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solution. They are resistant to chemicals, do not crack, and can withstand heavy loads even on unstable ground.
Versatile and robust, they provide long-lasting site safety across a wide range of sectors, including construction, agriculture, landscaping, forestry, quarries, and event management.

Recycled LDPE ground protection mats provide a reliable and high-performance solution for creating temporary access roads, protecting ground surfaces, and preventing vehicles and machinery from becoming bogged down on unstable terrain. They are designed to meet the operational constraints of worksites and locations requiring safe circulation for heavy vehicles.
Manufactured from recycled low-density polyethylene (LDPE), these mats combine high mechanical strength, controlled flexibility, and long service life. They are capable of supporting significant loads, even on soft, muddy, sandy, or grass-covered ground.
Thanks to their robust structure, the ground protection mats do not crack under stress and maintain their performance over time. They are resistant to chemicals, hydrocarbons, and climatic variations, allowing for prolonged outdoor use without degradation. Their rot-proof design ensures dimensional and mechanical stability, even in demanding environments.
Versatile in use, these ground protection mats are suitable for a wide range of applications:
- Creation of temporary access roads for machinery and trucks,
- Secured site access routes,
- Work platforms,
- Protection of sensitive surfaces (lawns, soft ground, stabilized soils),
- Temporary parking areas and maneuvering zones.
Ground protection mats are widely used across various sectors, including construction, agriculture, landscaping, forestry, quarries, and event management. They help ensure long-term site safety while minimizing ground damage and reducing restoration costs.
FM mats can be connected together using simple fastening systems, available as optional accessories and essential for use on soft or unstable ground.
Common questions
What is the maximum load capacity of an LDPE ground protection mat?
On stable, dry ground, our mats can support loads of up to 60 tonnes. On soft terrain (moisture, sand, mud), the load capacity is 25 tonnes.
How should the mats be stored between jobsites?
Stack them flat. As LDPE withstands extreme temperatures, outdoor storage is possible year-round. However, it is recommended to remove excess soil and periodically clean the mats using a high-pressure washer to eliminate mud residues and preserve their anti-slip properties.
Can tracked machinery drive over the mats?
Yes. Rubber tracks will not damage the anti-slip surface.
However, steel tracks may, over time, tear the checker pattern, particularly during turning maneuvers.

Questions & Answers
What is the maximum capacity per plate?
The maximum capacity is 120T. It may differ depending on the model
Are there several sizes?
Yes, depending on the model, several sizes are available. See technical data sheet
What is the difference between tread plates and smooth surfaces?
The tread plate is recommended for loose ground (outdoor) for better grip. The smooth surface is recommended for loose outdoor surfaces such as asphalt (but can also be used indoors).
On what type of surface can I use the rolling plates?
Construction equipment can be used on loose ground (earthy, muddy) and loose ground (asphalt, grass, gravel, etc.).
Is it possible to connect the plates together?
On some models, attachments are available as an option for connecting two to four plates.
