When placing a skip or container on a hard surface—such as tarmac, concrete or paving stones—the support rollers exert significant pressure that can leave marks, cause damage or lead to premature wear of the ground.

The PSC protective plate from Altec France by Forankra is the ideal solution for preserving the integrity of surfaces whilst ensuring optimum stability of the skip during loading and unloading operations.

Several models available, see table for specifications.

Technical description

The PSC protective plate measures 500 x 300 mm, with a thickness of 80 mm or 50 mm, and weighs just 7 kg or 3 kg (depending on the product). The maximum load capacity is 40 tonnes per pair.

Its integrated handle makes it easy to grip and reposition between each tipper rotation, requiring no particular effort on the part of the operator.

PSC plates are made from HDPE (high-density polyethylene), a material recognised in the industrial and transport sectors for its mechanical performance and resistance to impact, UV rays and weather conditions. This choice of material guarantees a longer service life than traditional wooden or rubber solutions.

Beyond its practical benefits, the PSC protective plate enhances the company’s image and the value of its equipment by demonstrating attention to detail and respect for infrastructure.

Questions & Answers

What is the maximum capacity per plate?

The maximum capacity is 120T. It may differ depending on the model

Are there several sizes?

Yes, depending on the model, several sizes are available. See technical data sheet

What is the difference between tread plates and smooth surfaces?

The tread plate is recommended for loose ground (outdoor) for better grip. The smooth surface is recommended for loose outdoor surfaces such as asphalt (but can also be used indoors).

On what type of surface can I use the rolling plates?

Construction equipment can be used on loose ground (earthy, muddy) and loose ground (asphalt, grass, gravel, etc.).

Is it possible to connect the plates together?

On some models, attachments are available as an option for connecting two to four plates.

How do I calculate the capacity of a stack pads?

There are two ways of calculating the capacity of the monobloc skid depending on the number of outriggers on the crane: - For two outriggers: 2/3 of the unladen weight + maximum load capacity = capacity in kg/skid | - For four outriggers: (2/3 of the unladen weight + maximum load capacity)/2 = capacity in kg of the skid. Example for a 50T crane with a load capacity of 10T on 4 outriggers: (50T x 2)/3 = 33330kg + 10T = 43330 /2 = 22T per skid.

Are there different sizes of stack pads?

Yes, there are square, round and notched one-piece skids.

Are there storage boxes for stack padss?

Yes, we have storage boxes for one or two skates. Please note that these storage boxes correspond to one skate size. See our technical data sheet for more information.

Is it possible to have a central print?

Yes, on request, in which case the diameter and thickness of the print must be supplied.

Is it possible to have special dimensions?

Yes, on request

What material are stack pads made from?

They are made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene)
