Forankra obtains PV DAS certification

Forankra has reached a new milestone in fire safety by obtaining PV DAS (Procès-Verbal Dispositif Actionné de Sécurité) certification for several of its sectional doors, metal curtains, and fabric curtains.

Certification as a guarantee of fire safety

PV DAS certification attests that equipment such as doors or metal curtains meets strict fire safety requirements. It guarantees that the device will operate automatically in the event of a fire in order to:

•    Ensure compartmentalization of areas,

• Limit the spread of fire,

•    And facilitate the evacuation of people.

Thanks to this certification, the equipment concerned benefits from a higher level of fire safety, in line with the requirements for industrial and commercial buildings.

Forankra models with PV DAS certification

The following models have PV DAS certification:

•    OHD-C EI (1) 60 – EW 90 sectional door

•    OHD-C EI 120 sectional door

•    RGC EI (1) 60 – EW 60 roller shutter

•    AK EI 60/ AK EI 120 fabric curtains

Compliance with current standards

In addition to PV DAS certification, these Forankra metal doors and curtains are CE marked and comply with the following standards:

•    EN 13241: Industrial, commercial, and garage doors and gates – performance characteristics.

•    EN 16034: Pedestrian doors, industrial doors, garage doors, and windows that can be opened - Product standard, performance characteristics - Fire resistance and/or smoke control characteristics.

•    NF S 61-937-1: Fire safety - Actuated safety devices. This standard is part of a set of standards designed to ensure the functional suitability of technical equipment that forms part of a system contributing to safety against fire and panic risks. It concerns more specifically actuated safety devices that ensure compartmentalization, smoke extraction, or evacuation functions.

•    NF S 61-937-4: Fire safety equipment - actuated safety systems - part 4: vertical opening curtains and doors. This document is part of a set of standards designed to ensure the functionality of technical equipment that forms part of a system contributing to safety against fire and panic risks.

A response to fire safety requirements

With the PV DAS certification obtained for these models, Forankra confirms that its sectional doors, metal curtains, and fabric curtains fully comply with current fire safety standards. 

This certification attests to their ability to operate automatically in the event of a fire, thereby contributing to the compartmentalization of areas, limiting the spread of fire, and securing evacuation routes. 

By being PV DAS certified, CE marked, and compliant with applicable French standards, this equipment demonstrates its ability to perform essential functions for the protection of people and buildings as part of a comprehensive fire safety system.
