Forankra to attend the Mayors and Local Authorities Fair
Forankra will be exhibiting at the Mayors and Local Authorities Fair, from 24 to 26 November 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (Pavilion 7.2). We will be at stand A29, where our teams will be showcasing a selection of equipment designed for local authorities, inter-municipal bodies and municipal technical services.
This annual event brings together elected representatives and technical services managers seeking practical solutions for their projects.
For Forankra, it is an opportunity to demonstrate how our product ranges meet a wide variety of needs, from roadworks to access to public buildings, as well as the loading of equipment for teams in the field.
Protecting worksites and facilitating operations
Roadworks, underground utility works and the organisation of municipal events often require the ground to be protected, a trench to be crossed or a passable route to be maintained.
Our traffic mats, whether FM or CM type, are made from recycled plastics. They offer a sustainable and cost-effective solution, and are available in ribbed/ribbed or ribbed/smooth versions depending on the application.
For areas where surfacing needs to be installed quickly, our modular slabs can be assembled without the need for complex tools. They offer good sound insulation, a non-slip surface and fire resistance.
CB cable crossings, whose components slot together, protect cables whilst maintaining a safe surface for pedestrians.
Finally, our PFT trench covers span trenches up to 1,200 mm wide. They are easy to handle and reduce noise pollution, which is often a key consideration when works are carried out near residential areas or schools. They also ensure that pedestrians can continue to pass through and keep traffic flowing smoothly, even whilst works are in progress.
Making public buildings accessible to all
The accessibility of local authority buildings remains a key issue for local authorities and town halls. Entrance steps, thresholds and changes in level can restrict access for people with reduced mobility, such as wheelchair users. Our aluminium ramps are suitable for a variety of configurations.
The RLS range comprises several standard components: ramps, landing sections, corner sections and handrails, which can be combined to create a bespoke access solution tailored to the layout of each building. These components enable the creation of a modular ramp that can be customised to suit the layout of the site.
For lower heights, the SBK-N ramp can be adjusted in height from 30 to 150 mm using jack screws, making it suitable for both trolleys and wheelchairs.
The SB-K model, meanwhile, can negotiate steps of up to 120 mm and features a non-slip tread surface.
Finally, the AOL-R aluminium ramp can be installed either temporarily or permanently to enable a person with reduced mobility to negotiate a few steps.
Simplifying the work of technical services
Local authority staff transport tools, materials and equipment in their utility vehicles every day. A loading ramp of the correct size makes these operations easier and reduces the fatigue associated with manual handling. Our range for light commercial vehicles includes several models:
- The RRD, which pivots through 180° and folds into two sections,
- The RRK, which is fixed but also folds away,
- The ABS and ABS-F ramps, which slot together for easy storage.
The AOH stands out for its slim profile and reduced approach angle for the castors, whilst the AOS offers a self-supporting structure with a perforated surface that allows dirt to pass through.
In all cases, the low weight of these ramps helps to preserve the vehicle’s payload.
Securing access quickly
Certain situations require access to an area to be restricted within a matter of moments: building works, school pick-up times, markets, public events, the risk of flooding or temporary hazards.
Our fabric barrier systems meet these needs. They are available in manual or semi-automatic versions, as standard or made to measure. An online configurator also allows you to design a barrier tailored to specific dimensions or a particular use.
When permanently installed at a specific location, the barrier is rolled up inside a locked, secure box, which can only be opened using a specific system held by an authorised officer. Easy for a single person to install, it can be deployed quickly. A customised message then indicates the nature of the hazard, as defined in advance. No need to carry heavy barriers, and no more waste from barrier tape: the textile barrier solution offers both ergonomics and safety.
A comprehensive range of solutions for local authorities and town councils
What sets Forankra’s approach apart is the combination of these product ranges within a single offering. A local authority can find solutions for road infrastructure, accessibility, mobility and access security all through a single point of contact. This integrated approach simplifies the procurement process and enables dialogue with a supplier who understands the practical constraints on the ground.
Our commitment also extends to the quality and environmental responsibility of our solutions. Forankra is assessed by EcoVadis, and we prioritise recyclable materials wherever possible, as is the case with our road plates.
